Whether it’s singing for the pope, at a 5,000 seat amphitheater in China, on the stage of Boettcher Concert Hall, or for kids anywhere in the world, the Colorado Children’s Chorale has been performing for more than three decades. The group of 400 children sings everything from opera to musical theater to classical and everything else in between. They’ve traveled all over Colorado, the country, and the world to share music in their own unique way.
The Chorale isn’t just about singing; they also work to educate the Denver area on music. In its School Partnership program, Chorale conductors work with music educators in schools throughout the Denver metropolitan area, giving kids additional exposure to singing, dancing and performing skills. Three community choirs — in north and southwest Denver as well as the Montbello area — offer an enhanced performance experience to their participants.
The Chorale Connection was started in February 2010 to give those interested in the CCC an inside look at the organization. The blog will feature current members and alumni, along with their families, friends, and other organizations that have helped the Chorale become what it is today. It will also provide an in-depth look into the music and much more. Oh! And of course, we plan to have fun along the way.
