Brook became interested in learning more about the Colorado Children’s Chorale through her son, Zack. With no musical talent of her own, Brook did not naturally gravitate to Chorale events; however, Zack would forever change her prospective. A friend in the community, Jim Thomas, invited Brook and Zack to attend their first Chorale concert and they were both hooked. Zack is a current Regional Tour Choir member and Brook has the honor of serving as a Trustee for the last year.
Brook has been inspired by the demanding expectations required to participate in the Chorale and our children’s ability to rise to the occasion. To see the artistic staff mandate the highest level of professional conduct from 400 children and to see the children execute this directive with confidence gives Brook the motivation to willingly volunteer her time to the Colorado Children’s Chorale. To see the joy on the faces of Chorale children as they perform and to hear their beautiful voices keeps Brook engaged and boldly inviting other members of our community to join her in supporting this major arts institution and civic treasure.
Professionally, Brook co-founded Syntrinsic Investment Counsel to provide independent investment advice and strategic guidance to select foundations and endowments, faith-based institutions, and philanthropic families in Colorado and around the country. Brook finds it a remarkable opportunity to partner with charitable organizations and philanthropic families to increase the positive impact in our world through prudent stewardship of financial resources.
Brook serves as an Advisory Board Member and Board Development Chair for The Salvation Army of Metro Denver, an Advisory Board Member of Pathways Home Colorado, Governor Hickenlooper’s initiative to end homelessness in Colorado, and a Member of the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Economic Development Council.
Brook is married to her husband, Kelly, and they have two sons, Casey and Zack. In their free time, the family enjoys spending time in the mountains playing and traveling to National Parks and Monuments. You will find the Kramer family camping, canoeing, white-water rafting, fishing, golfing, skiing and generally having fun together.
