While most of America finished up their tax returns on April 15th, more than 80 kids from all over Denver were playing games, eating pizza, exchanging friendship bracelets and making beautiful music together.
Last Thursday, the Colorado Children’s Chorale hosted its first Community Choir Festival at Trevista at Horace Mann School in north Denver. Children who participated in the festival came from 14 different Denver Public Schools, and sing in one of the Chorale’s four non-auditioned community choirs in Denver: NE Denver JAMS, Trevista TreVoices, Aplausos de Colorado Children’s Chorale and the John Amesse Elementary School Choir.
Below is a slideshow of pictures taken over the course of the day at the festival. Check it out and see how much fun we had!
On another note: Be sure to stay tuned to the Chorale Connection as the National Tour Choir heads out on tour tomorrow morning. If you subscribe to the blog (which you can do in the upper-right hand corner of the Chorale Connection home page), you won’t miss a moment of our tour coverage.
