Hello, blogosphere! For my first post on the blog, I have a very exciting announcement to make, but before I go there, I want to say that I hope you have been enjoying the information, insights and (ahem) humor that the Chorale Connection has brought your way so far as we get this thing off the ground. As CCC Blog Awareness Month continues, we hope you’ll keep coming back to keep up with the many things that go on “behind the voices” of our organization and our incredible kids. We also hope that you will share links to content (via Facebook, Twitter, your own blogs, etc.) that someone you know might find relevant or interesting, whether they live in Denver or Denmark!
And now, my exciting April 1st announcement (drum roll please):
At this year’s spring concert, not only will each of our training and performing choirs share beautiful music with you, but each choir will also debut a brand new vision for the Children’s Chorale wardrobe that will carry us through our next 35 years as one of the premiere children’s choirs in the world. Our wardrobe mistress, Lynda Fisher, has been working very diligently on a concept for our appearance on stage that is both contemporary yet still reflective of our roots in opera and musical theater. I am absolutely thrilled with the mock-ups that she has created for each choir, and I can’t wait for the kids to show them off in a performance on April 17th at Boettcher Concert Hall. However, as a special perk to all of you out there who took the time to check the blog today, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at the new look! Below, I’ve attached some pictures of each conductor modeling their choir’s new wardrobe:
If your child is currently in the Chorale, he/she will bring the new wardrobe home from the second dress rehearsal at Boettcher Concert Hall on April 13, and he/she should wear it to Boettcher Concert Hall on Saturday, April 17th. For pictures of me in the all-new Tour Choir wardrobe, click here.
Here’s to 35 more years of excellence in song and in style,
