Painting, building trains, a fire station; what more could you want as a kid?
At the Children’s Museum of Denver, you can spend time at all three of those activities in one day, and that’s just the start of things.
The museum opened in 1973 in a converted school bus, but they quickly outgrew that and now have a facility in Downtown Denver. They have activities and events planned for children ages newborn to 8 years old that make learning fun.
On Saturday, kids not only have the chance to explore the museum’s many activities, but they will also have the chance to do some singing and dancing.
On March 6 starting at 11 a.m., the Colorado Children’s Chorale will present their “Coo Coo Cachoo for Kids” concert at the Children’s Museum of Denver. Tickets are $8.50, which includes admission to the concert and to the museum for the day.
The Chorale does a couple of “Coo Coo Cachoo” concerts every year in various parts of the Denver area. The show will include a performance by the Chorale, but will also give the kids in attendance a chance to go on stage and learn songs and dance moves. They will perform with the Chorale to close out the show. The kids will also get a fun worksheet to take home about the songs they’ve learned.
For more information on the Coo Coo Cachoo Concert, visit www.childrenschorale.org. All tickets are general admission and will be sold at the box office of the Children’s Museum of Denver on Saturday only.
